Silence In The Dark by Patricia Bradley

Silence In The Dark, Patricia Bradley

Two years ago, Bailey Adams broke off her engagement to Danny Maxwell and fled Logan Point for the mission field in Chihuahua, Mexico. Now she's about to return home to the States, but there's just one problem. After Bailey meets with the uncle of one of the mission children in the city, she barely escapes a sudden danger. Now she's on the run--she just doesn't know from whom. To make matters worse, people who help her along the way find themselves in danger too--including Danny. Who is after her? Will they ever let up? And in the midst of the chaos, can Bailey keep herself from falling in love with her rescuer all over again?

My Thoughts:

The Logan Point Series continues with book number four. Silence In The Dark drops readers right into the middle of action-and it doesn't stop until the last breathless page!

Ms. Bradley does a great job of bringing readers into the action from page one. We're introduced to Bailey Adams, a missionary teacher in Mexico, preparing to escort one of her students to the child's grandparents in the U.S. when gunshots shatter their plan and send them running for their lives. But who would want to kidnap the little girl? And why? Or are the kidnappers, with their connections to the notorious drug cartel, after Bailey?

A cast of interesting characters carry this plot through it's suspenseful journey leaving me putting pieces of the puzzle together as quickly as I could. Because this is book #4 I'm left to assume there are connections between the two main characters, Bailey Adams, and Danny Maxwell from earlier books, which allowed me to accept the rapidness of their rekindled romance.

There is an edge of your seat element to this story as Ms. Bradley masterfully weaves a plot without the usual predictability of knowing who the bad guy is right up front. Instead, readers will enjoy the discovery of threat as it plays out in front of their eyes. My only disappointment with this book is the convenient "escape" of a character and I can only hope they will be brought to justice in the next book.

Ms. Bradley's Silence In The Dark will please her fans and is an excellent addition to her Logan Point Series. If you're looking for a fun, easy, romantic-suspense this novel will not disappoint.
